Hierloom

Today walking past the society where I live, I saw a heirloom of my family tied to the main gate. My heirloom now flitted on this new dwelling due to the sheer carelessness of its latest nine year old possessor. While taking her routine run to catch the school bus, this new inheritor didn't think much about its value neither its usability. So when it slipped from the edges of her ponytail, she didn't much bother to bend down and pick it up.
Double shaded in pink colors, knit with woolen threads, this warm scarf helped this heir's mother brace chilly mornings of Dehu.

Her enthusiastic granny had coaxed her grandpa to get those soft threads from the bazaar. With quality support from equally passionate knitters in the neighbourhood, her granny had learnt new ways to knot and knit and make that pretty design. The scarf though aged still shone like a brilliant shilling... grandpa must have got the best of wool for his darling granny.

The society security decided to put it up there on the gate for claimants ..yet hanging there forlorn and unminded, the heirloom looked every bit ready to serve its purpose for the next worthy owner.
Thats when one of its original owner found it and brought it back to its rightful place and gave an earful to the current owner.
